Pain outcomes following total knee replacement

نویسندگان

چکیده

Purpose: Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is the final treatment option for end-stage osteoarthritis. While it expected to resolve pain, 15-40% of patients have persistent pain 6 months after surgery that not otherwise explained (e.g., infection, joint loosening). majority undergo only one replacement, a substantial fraction has both knees replaced, and these are typically staged (performed sequentially). The implications having two TKAs in terms outcomes, whether there proportion who do achieve resolution unclear.
